Now, a retail packaging box image of an alleged ASUS GeForce RTX 3090 Ti TUF Gaming graphics card has been leaked by Chinese news outlet IT Home (via HXL) that gives us a sneak peak of the upcoming flagship. Unfortunately, the image does not provide any new information such as the card’s specs, but basically reiterates rumours that have already been circulated. “IT House has reported that Nvidia’s upcoming RTX 3090 Ti 24G will be equipped with Micron’s 21Gbps GDDR6X video memory,” reads a machine translation of a portion of IT Home’s article describing the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti’s alleged specs. “It is also the first product equipped with Micron’s 16Gb (2GB) 21Gbps GDDR6X video memory.” “In terms of parameters, it is reported that the RTX 3090 Ti has a 10752 CUDA core, 24GB 21Gbps GDDR6X video memory, and the default TDP is 450W, which is 100W more than the RTX 3090.” The new RTX 3090 Ti is rumored to have the device ID “GA102-350”. Further, the “PCIe 4.0” stamp on the lower-left side of the packaging indicates that the RTX 3090 Ti won’t be the first PCIe Gen 5.0 card, according to prior rumors. Another interesting thing is the slightly redesigned cooler in the RTX 3090 Ti, which has 11 blades in each of the three cooling fans versus ASUS’s TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090 (non-Ti) that has nine blades in each of the three cooling fans. NVIDIA is expected to announce the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti card at its January 4th press event, a day before CES 2022 begins with the card likely to go on sale on January 27th.
